Pastor Russell King was born and raised in central California. His parents purchased a ranch just before his senior year, and they moved up to Klamath Falls. Russ attended and graduated from Henley High School. After graduation, he went to Weed to attend the College of the Siskyous. During college, Russ eyes were opened by the Word of God to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He moved to Hawaii in 1997 where his older brother lived, attended North Shore Christian Fellowship, and worked as a carpenter until 2003. During his time at North Shore Christian Fellowship, Russ served the church in many various ways, including youth ministry. In December 2003, Russ left the island of Oahu to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California. He married Cassandra in May 2004. And after attending Bible college for a year, felt called home to Klamath Falls in March 2005. He began attending Calvary Chapel of Klamath Falls and working on his father's ranch. At Calvary Chapel of Klamath Falls, before becoming the senior pastor, Russ served as an elder and youth pastor.
